What is Fundraising Rockstars?
Fundraising Rockstars is when you take four fundraisers and nonprofit professionals and get them talking and they say,
“Hey, we want to do more to help the world, so, how are we going to do it together?”
Here’s how.
Who are the current Fundraising Rockstars? Pamela Grow. Sandy Rees. Desiree Adaway. Mazarine Treyz.
All different levels of experience in different things.
Pamela Grow, a Pennsylvanian, has worked with national nonprofits in the areas of direct mail, stewardship and grants. She’s the author of Simple Development Systems and Five Days to Foundation Grants, not to mention the fabulous moderator of the #SmNPchat on Twitter!
Sandy Rees, a native Tennessean, has worked with nonprofits all over the country, gives speaking engagements constantly, and is the author of many fundraising books, including Fundraising Buffet, Secrets to Raising Money Online, Secrets to Winning Grants and 7 Essential Steps to Raising Money by Mail, among others.
Desiree Adaway, a new resident of North Carolina, spent ten years at senior level staff positions at Habitat for Humanity, learning how to build partnerships, manage volunteers, and raising $10 Million on the way, incidentally.
Mazarine Treyz, born in New York and author of The Wild Woman’s Guide to Fundraising, has been around a few blocks and seen a few things. She’s worked with international nonprofits, national nonprofits in urban areas, and small nonprofits in rural areas too. She’s even helped co-found a nonprofit! And she’s been fundraising for eight years.
